Sustainability Concept for our Retreats

What Is Sustainability?
Sustainability refers to the ability to maintain or support a process continuously over time. In business and policy contexts, sustainability seeks to prevent the depletion of natural or physical resources, so that they will remain available for the long term. The principles of sustainability refer to the three core concepts of environmental, social, and economic sustainability–sometimes broken down as "people, planet, and profits." This means that to be considered sustainable, a business must be able to conserve natural resources, support a healthy community and workforce, and earn enough revenue to remain financially viable for the long-term.

AGAIA Sustainability
For us, sustainability has a core meaning and value, which is regeneration. Regeneration means leaving a place better than it was before. It means to live in harmony with nature and to adjust to the cycles and regional conditions. It means to view the world as a holistic system and to act to serve our planet. We do this to support our natural systems and secure our well-being.

We are aware that this is an ambitious goal for staying in a place for a limited time, however, we want to do our best. One of the objectives we have is to raise awareness. Be mindful. We want to incorporate a few principles that will help us to live up to those principles. Please read through and mind the following principles at our Coliving Retreats concerning our planet. This guideline is a working document, we highly value your feedback on how to do things better.

Our sustainability standards are based on three principles, environmental sustainability (planet) to conserve natural resources, social sustainability (people) to support a healthy community and workforce, and economic sustainability (profits) to earn enough revenue to remain financially viable for the long-term.

At AGAIA COLIVING, we prioritize your well-being and believe that nature plays a crucial role in it. With this in mind, we place a strong emphasis on environmental welfare in all aspects of our company, including the design of our retreat programs.

Each retreat we offer is carefully organized with the natural surroundings, local biodiversity, and community in consideration. We strive to minimize disturbance to the environment while still providing an immersive and enriching experience for our guests. Before partnering with any property, we conduct a thorough assessment to ensure that they align with our environmental values and sustainability commitment.

Our retreats include various eco-conscious efforts, including energy efficiency protocols, water conservation strategies, farm-to-fork meals using local and seasonal ingredients, preservation efforts for land, sea, soil, and local biodiversity, ethical working conditions, waste management systems, and support for local charities and environmental initiatives.
It is our belief that by choosing to travel sustainably, we can help protect and preserve our planet. With Earth facing numerous environmental challenges, it is important for us to respond with responsible actions, such as supporting properties that prioritize eco-sustainability. By making conscious choices in our travel habits, we can minimize negative impacts on the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future for all.
